I'm published y'all!

So recently, for the first time, my pictures were published in a magazine. It’s for the Taruwa magazine (The Festival issue) and I was totally stoked when I picked it up. You know how in the movies the writer or artist gets all excited when their publication is delivered to them? Well that’s kinda how I felt when I picked up my issue at Terra kulture earlier today. The only difference was that the publication that contained my work wasn’t delivered to me and I had to pay cash for it L. I’ll still collect my complimentary issue from Bee and Lyd.

Anyway back to the mag. The shoot was done (under duress. *Cough!* Lol) a month ago in Ikoyi and I had the good fortune of photographing 4 powerful women; Ego Ogbaro, Ugoma Adegoke, Tope Oshin Ogun and Lala Akindoju. All of them were great gals and were very spirited and very beautiful. It was clear that they were all used to having their pictures taken and that made my job much easier. There were certain challenges along the way though and I could have done more in terms of lighting but all-in-all it was a good shoot and I’m quite pleased with the output.

Anyway here are pictures from the magazine. I’ll try and find the actual images one of these days and put them up. Also please support the ministry and pick up a copy of the magazine. It’s very colourful and a bit on the intellectual side so you can’t go wrong either way. It sells for N1,000 and can be found at Terra Kulture on Tiamiyu Savage road in Victoria Island. For now though here are some of my pictures. (Hope I’m not violating any piracy laws here.) Enjoy!

Carnival Dancer

Was creating space on my hard drive when I cam across this video. It's a vid of an energetic young dancer this year's Lagos carnival and from the look of things, she's having the time of her life:). Enjoy!
